Micronised Quartz
Finely ground, high-purity quartz flour. Used as a filler and raw material in the production of paint, composites, ceramics and glazes; SiO₂ ≈ 99.75%.

What is Micronised Quartz?
Micronised quartz is a finely ground, high-purity quartz flour used as a filler and raw material in the production of paint, composites, ceramics and glazes. With a SiO₂ content of approximately 99.75%, our product offers high whiteness thanks to its low iron content. At our facilities in the Trakya region it is ground down to micron size and supplied with a controlled grain distribution.
Micronised quartz (quartz flour) is a fine powder obtained by grinding high-purity quartz down to micron scale. Its typical SiO₂ content is ≈ 99.75% and its Fe₂O₃ content ≈ 0.020%, which makes it ideal for sectors such as paint and ceramics where whiteness and purity are critical. With a Mohs hardness of 7, it gives the material into which it is incorporated added abrasion resistance, heat resistance and mechanical strength. As a fine filler it is supplied at a grain size of 10–150 µm.

Fraction
8 fractionsWhere is it used?
Used as a micronised filler in industrial paints, road-marking paints and coatings, providing abrasion resistance and a balanced matt-filler effect.
In the production of composites and quartz worktops (engineered stone) it provides a high filler ratio and mechanical strength.
Used as a micronised quartz flour in body and glaze recipes, providing strength, heat resistance and a smooth white surface quality.
Considered as a raw material in special applications that require high purity and low iron.
Used as a SiO₂ source in speciality/technical glass and glaze formulations, where its high SiO₂ purity and low iron content deliver clarity.
